Your birth longitude and your time zone's standard clock can differ by up to about 2 hours of true solar time, which affects how accurate the Hour pillar is. Enter your birth city and turn this on to correct for it automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BaZi reading accurate?

BaZi maps your birth date and time into Four Pillars and reads personality and fortune tendencies through Five Elements interactions. It reflects traditional cultural wisdom and statistical patterns, not scientific prediction — take it as a reflective reference, not a basis for major life decisions.

What information do I need to generate my BaZi chart?

Just your birth date (Gregorian calendar) and time down to the hour. The system automatically converts it into lunar calendar stems and branches, with true solar time correction applied.

What are the Ten Gods and Da Yun (luck pillars)?

The Ten Gods classify the Five Element relationship between your Day Master and other stems into ten roles (such as Direct Officer or Indirect Wealth), representing different facets of personality and relationships. Da Yun are ten-year fortune cycles; members can unlock the full Ten Gods and Da Yun deep-dive reading.

Why do you need my birth location?

Birth location (longitude) is used for true solar time correction — the same clock time corresponds to a different actual solar time at different longitudes, which affects how accurate the Hour pillar is. You can still generate a chart without it; the Hour pillar's precision is just slightly reduced.

What if I don't know my exact birth time?

Check "I don't know my exact birth time." You'll still get the Year, Month, and Day pillars plus a rough elemental leaning, but the Hour pillar, Day Master strength, and the deep report (which needs a precise Hour pillar) can't be generated yet — ask family or check a birth certificate later to fill it in.

What is true solar time correction?

Because time zones aren't drawn strictly along lines of longitude, the actual solar time in different cities within the same zone can differ by tens of minutes up to nearly two hours. True solar time correction adjusts the clock time based on your birth longitude so the Hour pillar better reflects traditional BaZi's original intent.

Can I use my BaZi result to make major life decisions?

No. BaZi content here is an analysis tool generated from a traditional cultural model, for entertainment, self-reflection, and cultural reference only — it does not constitute medical, legal, financial, investment, psychological, marital, career, or other professional advice. Major decisions should factor in your real circumstances, your own judgment, and professional advice when needed.
